Well I love Micheal Jackson music, but other then that CRAP! XD They should have hired me as their DJ XD XD XD

Back in high school, they had a DJ club and we would DJ the school dances. The teacher would only let us play that crap music though. The reason why is that it is popular and most people know the music being played. Even if it is a good song, people wouldn't really be able to dance to it if they've never heard it. Another reason you always hear R&B and rap playing is that it has a repetitive beat, which makes it much easier to dance to (imagine playing "Window Licker" by Aphex Twin at the school dance!). Ever noticed that DJs at clubs never play rock music? It's horrible music to dance to, and thank god that we have to listen cRAP instead of that flat-out CRAP!
To sum it all up, DJs play for the general population, not themselves. Anyhow, I hope that sheds some light on the mystery of why DJs always play crappy music. Well, look at the bright side: atleast they played some Daft Punk!

That makes sense. True about the Daft Punk though. Least it wasn't all crummy music.
