Opinions and thoughts about this.
Digimon is the clear winner. Better animation. An actual story that goes across the different seasons of the show. Better character development. More original designs.
The only draw back is the video game area. Pokemon had nintendo and digimon had sony. Most of the digimon games sucked except for one.

Well, my answer should be obvious. Digimon! The show that consumed my childhood. The reason is I actually liked the characters that weren't the monsters. I mean, the human ones. For Pokemon, who cares about Ash or Misty? They don't even age! Oh yeah, also, because of this guy: Wizardmon, not the cat thing. I never really liked her. I remember having schoolyard fights over who copied who, and which show was better. I was always in the minority. =( Yeahhh...I watched this show for far longer than I should have, all the way up to season three. Then I had to stop because it was on at 8:00 am weekday mornings and I had school the premises were just getting too ridiculous.

lol i think you're going to start a FLAME WAR anyways.
PokéMon is still in the hearts of the majority because it was senior to PokéMon so of course it was a lot harder for Digimon to go up. I really like in the beginning too the newer season where the kids become Digimon I thought was weird.
anyways i like them both, i don't really know which is better or worse--but i liked them so yeah
cute characters: TK and Kairi (ahh~) Patamon and Gatomon too love: lots of BL pairings ****!

Well pokemon the game was good in the beginning. All you had to catch was 100 pokemon...then it was 102.....then 210...then.....augh....its around like a thousand now. Digi-volve was better. Plus there wasn't that many different types of digimon.

Digimon kicked so much ass over pokemon. Atleast with alot of Digimon, there were different enemies throughout each season. All pokemon had was that crappy Team Rocket, and those guys were idiots. You'd think after enough times of getting blasted to hell and back, those morons would just leave that damn pikachu alone. I have to agree with Tiffany in the matter of realistic aging. None of the main characters (Ash, Misty, Brock, Prof. Oak, etc.) ever age. At least with Digimon, you get the realism of that.

Pokemon forever, kids. I happen to play the older games (or rather the remakes of the older games...) because they take mad skills to catch the bastards, as said above. Not to mention that the anime was pretty damn funny, and that's what it's about with that type of series. Laughs. This is saying a lot for me, because I have 4kids with the passion that rivals a thousand suns, but I liked it. However, I do agree Ash needs to go through puberty already....it's been a long time coming.

Be honest guys, do you REALLY wanna see Ash and friends grow up? Imagine what it would be like if Bart Simpson was old. Although I'll admit it, it would nice if Ash would change his friggin clothes for once.
I was always more into digimon than pokemon, just because the characters were better and much cleaner looking. However, as the show went on, it became less "gilligans island" and more "brokeback mountain". I soon started to see more boys holding hands on the show and touching each other.
Anyhow, to hell with you guys. I'm gonna go watch Monster Rancher!

I personally think both still rule except as some of you have pinted out when enough is enough some of these continuing story lines must be cut and the series should all end respectivly. One series I wanted continued in english was megaman battle network series. You had futureristic battle, death, bad ass villans, wicked powerups, and best of all a badass protoman and bass, megaman was okay. sword battle chip in download+wide sword battlechip in download+longsword battle chip in download=Program advance LIFESWORD!

Be honest guys, do you REALLY wanna see Ash and friends grow up? Yes. Well...yeah. Honest to god, though, Digimon is the show that corrupted me. I wasn't even 13 years old when I saw the episode in season one, I'm sure you know of it, where Tai and Matt are fighting in the snow, rolling around together...I saw that, and knew I was done for life. And look at me now... canyoureallyblamemeomgyesplz.
