Well, Steven had suggested at the end of last semester that we apply for another sponsorship from Funimation. Funimation has produced some recognizeable series, such as: Peach Girl, Suzuka, Tsubasa: Resevoir Chronicle, Negima!, Basilisk, Full Metal Alchemist, Fruits Basket, and Kiddy Grade, among many others. I think it'd be a good idea, so we'd get an option to see some new anime. Granted, these aren't the new ones coming out in Japan, but the new ones that are being dubbed. I'm not the biggest fan of English voiceovers, as many of you know, but I'm up for the idea. But, I'd like to get some input on this, first. It's called OPERATION ANIME (corny, I know, but hey, it's the best funimation can do, we should've expected it) that offers anime clubs the newest anime coming from Funimation, in exchange for reviews of their anime. It requires that the club has twenty members, and participates in the review. I think we have just around twenty, but we may lose or gain some members this semester. They offer a variety of animes, this month features: SCHOOL RUMBLE, MUSHISHI, and BECK: MONGOLIAN CHOP SQUAD. (I'm not even going to ask about that last one.) To look at synopses of those featured animes, click the link below. www.operationanime.com/So, is this something we want to do? Post feedback here!

I agree with you. I'm not normally the biggest fan when it comes to English dub, but atleast it's still sticking to the main point of the club. So I guess the main point is that, yeah, let's try to get the sponsorship. It'll also give us a little more variety to what we watch.

Heck yes, Dana. Reviewing anime would be a great activity we could get everyone to participate in. I'd go for it, totally.
We'll talk about this Friday.

I think we should. It could be fun. Although, we barely had 20 people last semester, so it all depends on how many join this time...

Reviewing sounds really fun! Better than just watching with more than half of members doing their other stuff. I should make a page with a calender.. maybe input what anime we are watching on what meeting so people who are interested can come or not... Anyhow, sounds fun ^w^

From the looks of things, it seems like pretty much everyone is all for the idea of the sponsorship. It looks like all we need now is just to meet that minimum requirement of 20 people.

So what ever happened to this idea of trying to get the sponsor? Did we not reach minimum requirements?
