I'll keep this very short:
Because of the grades I received for last semester, I am ineligible for the presidency of this club.
It doesn't matter much though. Dana's still president, so the system isn't going to crash or anything.
This also doesn't mean I'm no longer participating in the Anime Club. I really like this group we've got, and I think that even without the powers of being an officer, I can still help around with the activities we'll be having.
Alright?

That's too bad...
However, while we need presidents and officers for official reasons, I don't think anyone needs to be in an official position to help and be active in the club. Since we're not a big club, I think everyone should help...do you get what I'm saying?

Actually.... erm... about that.
I recieved a 1.33 GPA. Although, I beleive part of the reason my GPA was so low (besides me being lazy in difficult classes) was because I had a withdrawal from my internship class since my old job that had guaranteed to let me complete my internship there wasn't able to support me doing it.
Yeeeeeah, so my GPA isn't something to look at.
But, just as Muirae said, official positions are just for recognition.
Although, I'm still going to try to be president, even though my GPA isn't "standard". I'm still going to go to the meetings, unless they do a background check. "Don't ask, don't tell."
And, even if they do, I'll probably still fight for my position, that's how I am.
It may impact the president's ability to do schoolwork, that's their concern. But, clubs are there to make college life enjoyable, and to promote their college experience by meeting others interested in their hobbies or interests. I'd really like to have that feeling of self-appreciation for making other's college life more endurable and enjoyable.
Personally, after high school, I wanted to give up. I didn't want to have any more school. But, within the first few weeks, I found something that would make me want to stay. A lot of somethings, actually. I made a lot of friends here, they are what keep me going. They put a smile on my face every day, and make me happy to be there. Knowing that I can pay them back by making them smile whenever they come to club and have a good time, that's what makes me happiest.
I don't know if the club organizers will listen to me, but, even if they refuse to let us be an official club, we can still hold it ourselves. The student center is always available to us.

That's a big WHOOPS on both of our parts, huh?
Oh well. Good night, sweet prince.

Yeah, but I can't make excuses. I have myself to blame for it.
If someone would like to take initiative as president, I'll gladly step down and offer my assistance either as a vice president, or an officer. But, should no one rise to it, then I'll fight for my position.

You don't have to worry about your grades unless your suspended. They wont ask you.

*wipes forehead* Oh, thank goodness. ><
Well, since that's not going to be a problem thus far, it seems Josh and I can resume our positions.

steven: That's relieving. Really. Where's my top hat? Darn, I tossed it thinking I wouldn't have to wear it since I wasn't going to be a president anyways. I might have to just go with a beret. Darn.

I want to point that its not a ball park being an officer. Time will be shorter as such. Please do keep up with your work Your future is also important. As a small Anime Club we all should pitch in and make the anime club even more prosperous each semester. Cheers.

I don't think people should judge by our GPA, it sucks to be judged that way. I know my GPAs are higher, but truthfully I don't deserve that since I was slacking off doing myspace rp and all. Seriously, I just want to say how I hate this system of being judged with numbers >.>
