Wow... I had no idea that this anime was so... fantastic, to say the least.
It really goes deep, both within the characters, and in life.
...and now I really would want to cosplay Rei. I'd love to perform her poem.
(Although, my favorite character is Katsuragi.)
It's a really deep anime for me, it really tries to pose questions of existentialism, sanity, and the human self, besides religious questions.
I don't think a show has ever affected me like this.
I'm on episode 16 or so, now, and I'm completely blown away with it.
Daaaaaamn. Love it.

Wow, when the dummy pilot had to destroy Unit 03 with the Fourth Children inside... wow, I almost cried.
Damn, they really go all out with Shinji's emotional scarring, huh?

Evangelion is one of my favorite shows, it can get complicated at times but its worth watching. I like your picture Muirae, Who knew Azumanga Daioh and Evangelion made such a good and entertaining combination?

Okay, I'm at episode 24 now, going for the straight shot to the end of it. >< I just can't stop watching.
Now, this episode is one I've seen before, and the one I've been waiting the whole series long to see it again.
As soon as I saw Kaworu Nagisa again, the only thought going through my mind was "yaoi yaoi yaoi yaoi yaoi yaoi".
Shinji: "I just have to take a shower."
Kaworu: "Can I take it with you?"
Shinji: "I guess it's time to go to bed."
Kaworu: "Together?"
Ah, I love it. >< Kaworu is aweeeeeeesooooome.

Oh, man.
I finally finished it, and I'm still confused, which is the whole damn point of the series, and now I'm downloading the first movie.
Okay, did anyone else really notice the stuff between Kaworu and Rei?
We know Kaworu is an angel.
He was looking for Adam in central dogma, but upon finding Ikari's so-called "Adam", Kaworu verfied that it was not the first angel, Adam, but the second angel, Lilith.
He'd also said to Rei that he and she are the same.
It leaves off that we STILL don't know what the hell Rei is. Shinji's mom? A clone? An angel?
But, for those that don't remember when Kaji was still alive, and at his entrance, when Asuka made her debut, he'd delivered a breifcase to Commander Ikari. The embyo of Adam.
The angels each have a soul, like the Evas.
But, like example with the crucified Lilith, that angel has lost it's soul. Being, that it's somewhere else.
So, if Kaworu is looking to return to Adam, he could possibly be the soul of Adam.
And, if he says that he and Rei are the same, and Rei was the only one of the Reis (those scary cheery ones in the tank) that had a soul, could she have attained hers from Lilith?
Wow, I'm giving myself a headache. >< Imma go watch the movie.

I'll probably look for it tommorrow, and if I can't find it, my boyfriend's friend has it on DVD, and he'll borrow it for me.
