;;_______________;;
I only watched like two seconds of it then punctured my eardrums with pencils. Why did I click on that. Why.
NERD RAGE.

Dubs and subs are both awesome in their own respects.
While I'll admit that I've heard Vic in EVERYTHING that Funimation has touched it seems (and he doesn't really have much voice differentiation...) he is a pretty good VA and is pretty good at emoting through vocalization, which is pretty hard to do sometimes. His Ed Elric was good in my opinion....he put though enough feeling to make me cry, for goodness sake...but then again, he didn't have SHIT on Travis Willingham....Roy Mustang was the BEST!
InuYasha is another one I like dubbed....because I'm totally in love with Miroku's voice, Kirby Morrow....that's one awesome VA. And Hellsing is AWESOME, both ways....though Crispin Freeman is a totally awesome VA.
There are some anime I like better subbed...and some better dubbed. It's all about perspective.
However, I must admit Naruto is better subbed. The guy who does Naruto in English deserves a chair to the face. A steel chair. With spikes. Large, sharp spikes. Same goes to voice of Sauske....they made him too damn irritating.

Okay, Vic has had some good roles, but ED IS NOT ONE OF THEM.
As for Crispin Freeman, everyone gets ruined when they join the Naruto dub cast. I can never look at Balmung the same way again.
Inuyasha, I didn't quite mind the voices, but I watched that when I was a lot younger, and didn't have much other choice.
Oh, and the one who does Naruto's voice, Maile Flannigan, is a woman. I genuinely think Yuri Lowenthal (Sasuke) is a fine voice actor, but when paired with Maile Flannigan (Naruto) and Kate Higgins (Sakura) for a majority of the series, I can't stand it any more.
I do like the one who plays Shikamaru Nara (but he's old and ugly!), since I think he has a good voice that fits the character. Tara Platt does a good Temari, who can quickly switch between her agressive and calm personalities.
And lastly, Steve Staley. I'm a HUGE fan of Neji, and I love his voice playing the Hyuuga prodigy. But, when I heard Steve play Hitsugaya in Bleach, I was appalled.
Same thing with Jiraiya/Kenpachi. I can't see someone who does two completely different characters keeping one. I think he does Kenpachi better.

i like gaming dubs like previously mentioned (Balmung), the voices for .hack was good. and Advent Children was really good. hmmm... i don't know sound technology and i can't back this statement, but i think that the way recording is done for anime and video game games is different, so the sound quality is not quite right. they should get younger people to do dubs, i mean i just found out Sasuke's voice actor is like 42 and Naruto's is a woman.... lol..
dubs could be good.... hmm.... i wonder why games sound so much better

Most video game voice tracks are better because of the small amount of actual recorded voice track used in the game. The rest of the time its a text box/bubble. Where as you have 15-20 minutes of voice track per episode for an anime. Plus a video game has more budgeting compared to an anime series. And on top of that a translated american anime release focuses on the voice track and editing content and not on the animation since its already done by the original Japanese studio. And when a series begins it usually takes a voice actor about 10 episodes to get the "feel" of the character down. Naruto's american voice actor is a woman...must be a heavy smoker. "BELIEVE IT"

Ohh yeah, I remember, I liked the Advent Children dub.
Also, did you know, Luffy's VA in Japanese is an old woman (53 years old)? It's easy to picture if you close your eyes.
