Yes we are meeting at the block in Orange also what's with all the hostility. He only made a reference to Asian Club joyce, take it easy. That club was great and so will this club be great but this is anime club, so like dana, eric, and as I agree it don't have to be asian to be considered food. Food is what we decide to eat, whatever it may be. And I agree that the block at orange is where we should go. i have never been there so I up for it.

So... For Spring Break It is decided that we are going to hangout at Block at Orange, probably going to the movies, arcade and eat ^_^;; Time-wise.. we discussed it to be around 2:00pm-ish on wednesday to meet but we haven't decided where exactly we are meeting...
And Jaime.. I guess I might have been a bit sensitive about Eric mentioning Asian club in such manner... as the club was very special to me and i just felt too much of sarcasm from Eric when he mentioned it..
and I wasn't talking about the food when i talking about Anime Club being in Japanese Culture Category... I don't care what kind of food we eat.

hey Eric~ ^_^ no one EVER said anything about this club being ASIAN CULTURAL CLUB! What's up with the sudden hostility towards Asian Club? and This club may be an anime club but it is under the category of Japanese Cultural Club which means that we should do something that is cultural to Japan other than Anime. YES! Finally someone agrees with me! Usually, clubs tend to do things associated with the theme of the club. For example, martial arts club practices different styles of fighting, German club does things related to German culture, etc. If we are going through the trouble to dress up and pretend to be the characters from our favorite anime (cosplaying), how come we don't eat the same food as them? I can understand that there may be cost issues involved, but since we would be cooking from scratch anyway, I'm sure traditional Japanese dishes like onigiri and udon wouldn't be too hard to make. Besides, hotdogs cause cancer.

Not only is cost an issue here with the food, but also prep time, and space available to make it...I mean, in Japanese culture, most everything is made fresh on the spot. If we were to eat the same foods, we would need a place to cook it.

That is true and I do know cody that we should eat food related to our theme but your examples were just that you didn't mention the MMA club eating health bars or the german club drinking beer in during october fest or however its spelled. Our way of doing our theme is by cosplaying but its not limited to that. We can really do pretty much what we want to express our theme but for now I suggest we stick with what we know and if someone knows how to cook asian theme food like Joyce then who by the way cooks really yummy food from her resturant they should spearhead something associated with the food theme other than that we should be fine with what we do now.

I think we were going to try Koji's Shabu Shabu for food. There is AMC for movies and Power house for arcade games.

Isn't the block the one with the ferris wheel? Or is that Irvine Spectrum? I get them confused.
